Practical Tips
- To register with an NHS GP, you do not need proof of address or immigration status. Surgeries cannot refuse registration on these grounds.
- For out-of-hours medical advice, call NHS 111 (free, 24 hours).
- In a life-threatening emergency, call 999.
- Barnes is well connected to healthcare facilities in neighbouring areas by the local transport network, though the closure of Hammersmith Bridge has increased journey times to facilities north of the Thames.
